BEING ANGLICAN
THE ANGLICAN CHURCH OF CANADA
The Anglican Church is divided into regional groupings called "dioceses". Each diocese has its own bishop, who has the overall responsibility for the spiritual well-being and administration of the churches within the area.

FOUR OPERATING PRINCIPLES
- Each region is self-determining, but we walk together for strength.
- We are consciously cross-cultural with shared leadership.
- Our primary ministry is healing and reconciliation.
- For the Diocese to survive the parishes must thrive (ministry is most effective at the local level).

Bishop David
Anglican churches throughout the world are united in what is known as The Anglican Communion and have the common bond of descent from the Church of England whose head is the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev. Rowan Williams. The Anglican Church in each nation is autonomous, but all look to Canterbury for leadership of the worldwide church.
The Anglican Church of Canada is in full communion with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
